Proving it’s never too late, Mary-Lyell Rogers began both her pursuit of ceramics and a career in teaching in her late forties. With a master's degree from Western Reserve and a doctorate degree from Ohio State, she taught at Ohio University and traveled to India to train teachers & schools there. She has exhibited her ceramics work at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s May Show (1951-58) and the 22nd Ceramic National Exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York (1963).
