1905-1972 After receiving his education from the Cleveland School of Art and working at the Cowan Pottery studio, Bogatay was invited to teach at Ohio State University where he remained for thirty-six years. He co-founded the Ford Ceramic Arts Company in Columbus, Ohio, and was the recipient of many artistic accolades such as the Louis Comfort Tiffany Award, Fulbright Fellowship (to Japan), Rockefeller Foundation Grant, and others.
