Description

The book is made of Japanese paper that is kozo fiber. I incorporated a thin sheet of fabric (silk gauze) inside each folded sheet to make tearing less of a worry. Buttons are mother of pearl, sewn on with silk floss. The buttons were all handmade (in factories) over several decades. They were collected from many sewing boxes. The book format is based on the traditional Japanese "fukuro toji".
