Photograph published in the 45th Division News, 1 November 1944, Vol. V No. 13, Caption "Called "Schnapps," this rabbit was the size of your fist when he hopped into the battery area several weeks ago, and the red legs decided to fatten him up for Thanksgiving dinner. Schnapps thrived on Biscuit, Square, Type C, and the artillerymen changed their minds. they'll be satisfied with 10-in-1's, they say, and keep Schnapps for a pet. Shown coddling the rabbit are Privates Ben Klamczynski (left) and Duke Albrecht, both of Chicago."
