Photograph published in the 45th Division News, 29 January 1944, Vol. IV, No.29, Caption "If it were possible to get water hotter than boiling, this is the machine that would do it. It's the invention of the creative Quartermaster kitchen crew headed by Staff Sgt. Paul Minnick, Claremore, OK (left). He looks on while Pvt. Jess Deskin Antlers, OK pours gasoline into a tin can attachment on the chimney. The gas drips down into the drafty bottom of the thing and the result is a roaring blue blaze. The whole works is dipped into a can of water so when the Quartermaster washes its mess kits, the water is really hot."Made/Created
