Description
Background composed of arabesques in repetition. The signatures, numbering and date of issue are printed in black. The wording of the issuing institute "BANQUE DE L'ALGÉRIE", the value "VINGT FRANCS" and the date of issue are printed in purple in the center. On the right in a decorated medallion, the portrait of an Algerian woman in traditional costume. At the bottom, the value "20" and article 139 of the Penal Code are printed in light blue.
Reverse
Description
Frame decorated with Arabic motifs with an inscription in Arabic in a pediment at the top. In the middle, two young boys, one kneeling and the other standing, frame a yellow medallion with decorated rhombus and containing the value "20" printed in dark purple. In the background, a prickly pear and a dwarf palm.
