Photograph published in the 45th Division News, 22 March 1944, Vol. IV, No. 33, Caption "See the Chaplain for your TS (Tough Situation!) slip, has long been a figurative expression. Feeling that the boys deserved something more tangible than mere words, the chaplain's section did some scrimmaging around in one of the towns on the beachhead and came up with the punch TS M1. Sgt Stanley Purdy, Oklahoma City, Chaplain's section, is shown punching out a slip for Pvt. Joe Storto, Baltimore. Storto wept: 'Seven rolls of film pictures I'd shot in Africa, in Sicily, and in Italy, and a low-living GI lost them all."Made/Created
