This carry bag was specifically designed to hold the U.S. Corrected English Small Box Respirator (CEM) gas mask. The CEM was an improved version of the British SBR (Small Box Respirator) and was widely used by American soldiers in the trenches of the Western Front. The bag served as a protective case for the gas mask, allowing soldiers to carry it conveniently and keep it accessible during combat situations
