45th Division News Vol. V No. 20 "Here at the Franco-German border are (left to right) Hubert Perkins (Coolidge, Arizona) and Roobert Brophy (New York City, New York). Both landed in Sicily July 10, 1943 but Perkins, a message center driver, drove his jeep all the way from the southern coast of Sicily. Brophy, a paddlefoot, walked the whole distance the 45th has covered overseas."
