Photograph published in the 45th Division News, Naples, Italy, 4 December 1943, Vol. IV, No. 21, Caption: "Home was never like this back in Healdton, Oklahoma for the Summers brothers, Cpls. Jack (left) and J.L, but the contraption beats sleeping in a pup tent. Using facilities at hand in their Quartermaster Maintenance Section, the pair spread a large tarp over bows of six-by-six, built rear and front walls, a front door - and there it was. The interior boasts electric lights from a truck battery and a stove constructed from a few Jerry shell casings and odd and ends salvaged from damaged trucks."Made/Created
