M1910 Cartridge Belt

Context

These belts were made in three parts – two panels and a web attaching strap that looped through the ends of the panels. On each end of the adjustment strap are two metal hooks that are hooked into the set of two metal eyelets that run down the middle of the interior of the panels. The web attachment strap also has three centered metal eyelets to allow the attachment of the M-1910 haversack’s back strap. The panels are canvas, and each set of panels had one “male” and one “female” buckle, the “male” buckle having a “T” post. Each panel has 5 pockets, which are ribbed on the bottom.
