45th Division News Vol. V No. 25 "What is your superstition? My pet gripe and biggest superstition is the Red Cross and their doughnuts. I've been knocking about the 45th ever since Sicily, and I've never seen it fail yet: every time the doughnut gals hit our area, we're due for a tough mission. The day after they showed up in Sicily, we hit Salerno. The day after we got doughnuts at our Anzio rest area, we went back up for the push to Rome. They've crossed us up from Venafro to Alsace. I like the doughnuts and the girls are nice, but im superstitious. Sometimes I wish they'd go away."Made/Created
