Context

John Wallace Robertson was born May 4, 1863 and immigrated to the United States in 1882, originally settling in Melrose and moving to Taunton later the same year. In 1892, he partnered with Charles E. Strange to form Robertson and Strange Cycle Co. to sell and repair bicycles. This collection does contain some banking transactions from Robertson and Strange Cycle Co., but the majority of the material consists of Robertson’s personal finances and documents.
