(a) Round bronze metal "Seal of The Society of Arts and Crafts Boston Inc. MDCCCXCVII." This surface shows two figures with shield and flourishes. Opposite side shows laurel and ribbon with the words, "awarded for Merit by the Society of Arts & Crafts/ Lester H. Vaughan/ Boston/ March 16, 1921." Name and date are clearly etched in at a later date. (b) Square leather case with rounded corners. Opens with a push lever. Inside top of case is olive colored silk and bottom is olive colored velvet with an indented area for the metal to rest and a ribbon to place under the metal to help take it out of its case.Lexicon
