For an officer to use for self defence.
Context
In 2022 Sussex police was looking for an alternative to the "Camlock" batons that it had been using since c2018. There were no issues with the Camlock other than problems with supply which forced the Staff Safety Unit to look for a replacement. The baton chosen was ASP (Armament Systems and Procedures") Talon model. This particular example is fitted with a non roll top which has straight edges. The holder is made by "Bonowi" and has a notch in the bottom, which engages with the tip of the baton and draws it as it is removed from the holder.
