Description
Black leather belt 50mm wide with two rows of holes and a two pronged chrome plated metal buckle, and leather retaining loop. The inside is lined with soft 'Velcro" material and the only marks are"XL" on the inside where the buckle is attached.
Use
For a police officer to wear to attach equipment to.
Context
Following the introduction of utility belts by Sussex Police c2001, the force continually used rigid nylon styles until c2018 when they were replaced with wide leather examples such as that shown here. The change maybe connected with the joint uniform procurement arrangements that were out in place at that time with Surrey Police.
