Context
Many police forces used to publish their own magazines, including West Sussex Constabulary. Their magazine was called "Parade" and was first produced in January 1941, and though suspended during the war, it was published quarterly again from March 1945 until the end of 1967 ( Barrett 2008). It contained news and updates from around the force, together with various articles. This particular edition was designed to commemorate the centenary of the West Sussex force and includes some articles from previous editions.
Since 1968 Sussex Constabulary/Sussex Police has published its own magazine "Patrol".
