Description

Negative, sheet film. 4 x 5 b&w. Isaac Stevens was governor when first legislature was held upstairs in this building in 1854. The building was located between Olympia Avenue and State Street on Capitol Way. The legislative building was then known as the Parker & Colter Building (mercantile and express business run by John G. Parker and Henry Colter). Later, building became the Gold Bar Restaurant. On left is Young Hotel.
