Negative, sheet film. 4 x 5 b&w. 1502 D. The George E. Starr, a side-wheeler on Puget Sound. Part of the Mosquito Fleet of small ships that carried passengers and freight around the Sound. The George E. Starr was built in Seattle in 1878, and acquired a reputation as a very slow boat which was hard to maneuver. She was finally abandoned in 1921 after serving a short stint as a towboat on the Columbia River.
