Negative, sheet film. 1.15 x 1.6 b&w. Carlyon (Capitol Boulevard) Bridge was completed in 1938. The bridge and its totem poles and pylons were originally plain cast concrete, but in 1951, Peter G. Schmidt had the totems and pylons painted in bright colors to attract more interest. This photo is looking north, and shows the restaurant at the north end of the bridge.Name/Title
