Scope and Content

Small sheet of blue paper with writing in black ink that reads "Rec'd Manchester Dec. 19th 1849, Of Alexander Fowler three dollars and sixy [sic] seven cents in full for taxes -- for the year of 1849 Lot No -- in the Town of --." Signed by William Fowler, Town Treasurer. On the back "Recpt for taxes" is written in black ink. There is a stamp in the top left corner of an anchor with designs behind it.
