Legal sized paper with correspondence on both sides. The letter starts "Convelensance [sic] Camp, Nashvill. Nashvill Tennessee, October the 25 AD 1863. My Dear Sister" and is signed "From your ever faithful brother, Elisha Schooner" and there are two additional paragraphs after his signature. The last one asks his sister to write him back saying his wife is deathly sick and needs him home so that he can use it to get a furlough.Collection
