13 pages of hand written notes in blank ink on 7 sheets of lined legal paper. Each page has writing on both the front and the back except the last page which has blank on the back. Each page is numbered in the top left corner "No 1," "No 2," etc. The first line reads "They began to clear the land, at their new home at Stockbridge during the summer of 1833". Page 5 talks about a treaty that failed followed by a treaty selling all land on Lake Winnebago for 72 sections of land in Minnesota. The last page has "A list of the first white men to acquire land from the Stockbridge Indians after the Treaty of 1843".
Written in different ink and hand writing on the last page is "Stockbridge April 6th 1950, Delivered April 20, 1950 Ioor-Rebekah". This may be a speech or lecture given.Collection
