Single page correspondence. Paper is folded in half to create four pages of writing. The first page starts "Camp Near Harisons landing, VA. July 27 1862. Dear Friend". It talks about how the writer was afraid he would never get a response for any of the letters he sent and how he is tired of fighting in this war and it's only for the big wigs to make money. It is signed "good by from S. Lew Johnson to C A Kevill".
