Waffle, Dealer in Dry goods, Groceries, Boots, Shoes, Confectionery, Cigars, Stationery Etc., Kendall, Wis". The letter is addressed "Sept. 2, 1896, Mr L. H. Waffle, Borhtertown, Wisc, Kind Sir". The letter talks about coming across soldiers in WI with the name of Waffle and is inquiring if they may be distant relatives. It is signed "Yours truly, Warren W. Waffle".
