Eight pages of hand written notes on lined legal paper. The writing is in cursive in black ink. Each page is numbered in the top left corner "No 01," "No 02," etc. Both front and back of the paper is used, except the last page does not have writing on the back making it 15 pages of content on 8 pieces of paper. There are notes in the margins that indicate what the paragraph is about such as "July 8, 1934," "July 1, 1735 Ordained Aug 31, 1735," etc. It seems to be a short, general history of the Brothertown most likely written by Otto Heller, but could be copied from a book he read.
The first line reads "At the beginning of the eightenth [sic] century, there lived in the valley of the Housatonic River in Western Massachusetts the remnants of the once mighty tribe of Muh-he-cau-new Indians."Collection
