Four pages of correspondence (fourth page is blank) on two pieces of paper that are attached. The letter is addressed "Washington City DC, July 12 1865, Dr Sir" and is signed on the third page "L.M. Johnson". It is written to EM Dick. It talks about the new command of General Hancock over Middle Department that includes West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. The writing gets worse as the letter goes on, but the writer explains that he is in a hurry.Collection
