Scope and Content

Three page letter on two pieces of paper that are connected. The first page has a header that reads "Head Quarters, Department of the Missouri, St. Louis, October 9th 1864" and is addressed "Sunday Morning, Friend Ed." It talks about his job, where "Old Price" is currently (supposedly around Jefferson City), and how he will remain in St. Louis when he is done because it now feels like home. The letter is signed "Your friend L. M. Johnson, Head Quarters Dept of Miss. St. Louis Mo" and is written to Edgar M. Dick in Brothertown, Wis.
