The first page begins "We have been reading with much interest the early History of Calumet County as printed in your paper by different writers but we do not quite agree with some of the information given..." It goes on to explain how they (the writer) has lived among the Brothertown for 65 years and proceeds to lay out a brief history of the tribe starting with Occum, whom the paper has not mentioned.Collection
