Oversized official document-land patent. Official governmental form declaring Orsamus Fowler shall receive a partial lot of land taken from the Menominee Indians and given to the Brothertown Indians in accordance with "the Act of Congress, approved on the 3d day of March, 1839, entitled 'An Act for the relief of the Brothertown Indians, in the Territory of Wisconsin'." It is signed by President John Tyler on June 9, 1842. There is a cream colored stamp attached to the form in the bottom left corner with an orange or red adhesive or wax. This form has a cover page on the back that says it was received and recorded in the Register's Office on March 20th 1854.Collection
