Scope and Content

Oversized official document-land patent. Official governmental form declaring John Kuish, Junior shall receive a partial lot of land taken from the Menominee Indians and given to the Brothertown Indians in accordance with "the Act of Congress, approved on the 3d day of March, 1839, entitled 'An Act for the relief of the Brothertown Indians, in the Territory of Wisconsin'." It is signed by President John Tyler on June 9, 1842. There is a cream colored stamp attached to the form in the bottom left corner with an orange or red adhesive or wax.
