Scope and Content

Single sheet folded in half to create four pages of correspondence. The first page has a colored stamp in the top left corner of a flying eagle on top of a shield with the US flag. The eagle is carrying a red ribbon in its peak that wraps around it. The letter is addressed "Camp Washburn, Milwaukee. Jan the 14, 1862. Dear friend Abba". Civil war letter. It talks about how they got their uniforms, how some including John Dick are going home soon, and the music they have in camp. It is signed "So good by your truly you must write as soon as you can if you pleas. L. F. Wauby. Direct to Camp Washburn Milwauke 2 Reg Wis".
