Single sheet of paper folded in half to create four pages of correspondence, writing only on the first three pages. The letter is addressed "Camp on Big Pina, Missouri, Dec. 23rd, 1863. Well Abba" and is signed "Verry [sic] Resp. S. Skeesuck. To Miss Abba L. Fowler, Brothertown, Calumet County, Wisconsin". He misses two people who went back home, but he would not want to visit because small pox hit the town. He mentions only having one more year serving for Uncle Sam. He mentions that John Dick was drafted after being honorably discharged for serving for so long.Collection
