One sheet of paper folded in half to create four pages of writing. The first page is blank on the left and the opposite page has an American flag stamped in the top left corner. It starts "continued" making it seem as if the first page, at least, is missing. It talks about music in the soldiers regiment, the weather where they are stationed, someone claiming to be able to walk through fire, and them sending their love to every one, especially grandmother. The last page asks for a reply to be addressed to "Loren M. Johnson, Milwaukee Wis. 2nd Regiment Cavalry, in care of Capt. Wm. Woods".Collection
