Dick Book Bought February 6th 1849 at Fond du Lac, Meier $1.50. Barbara Johnson's Book". The title of the actual book is The Book of the Indians; or, Biography and History of the Indians of North America, from its First Discovery to the Year 1841. By Samuel G. Drake, Fellow of the Royal Society of Northern Antiquaries, at Copenhagen, Honorary Member of the New Hampshire and New York Historical Societies. Ninth Edition, With large additions and corrections. Boston: Benjamin B. Mussey. M.DCCC.XLV.
The book tracks different tribes including the Brothertown. p.119 talks about Sampson Occum, which is written in the margins in pencil.
The book is worn and there are signs of insect damage on the front cover. Spine has been taped with a light color tape. Cover is worn all around the edges.
