One male teacher stands to the left of the students (right on postcard) wearing a sweater and tie with arms crossed in front of his chest. All the girls appear to be wearing dresses with nylons and the boys are wearing caps. One boy in the front is holding a chalkboard that reads "Dist No. I Brothertown Wis." and written in white on the bottom of the postcard is "School at Brothertown, Wisconsin".
