Dec 22nd, 64, Friend Edgar" and is signed on the fourth page "Yours most Respectfully, John W. Dick, Army of the Potomac, Edgar M. Dick, Brothertown Wis." Talks about his life in the army, sorry to hear about the sickness at home, and the current call for 300,000 more men to fight.
