Single sheet of paper folded in half. Writing only on first and second page (right side of front and left side of back). The letter is addressed "Camp on Big Pina Mo. Nov. 21st 1863. Well Abba" and is signed "Verry [sic] Resp. S. Skeesuck, To Miss Abba L. Fowler, Brothertown". He is writing to her even though she never responded to his last letter. He talks about what they are doing, building a winter house even though it doesn't get cold there. Says he can do any household chores because of his time as a soldier just in case he doesn't find someone of the "fair sex". And ends with news that they may draft more individuals for the war and how he agrees to get some of the younger men and men who refuse to enlist to join.Collection
