Single sheet of paper folded in half to create four pages of correspondence. Writing only on the first two pages (right half of first side and left half of second side). The letter is addressed "Camp Near Friedrichburg, Va, June 12th AD /63. Dear Sir" and is signed From John Simmons". The writer is writing to Edgar Dick, according to the envelope accompanying letter. Difficult to read.
BC2010.022.474B is the envelope that accompanies the letter with a 3 cent stamp and a postal stamp over the postage stamp that reads "Washington DC, June 17th". It is addressed to "Mr Edgar Dick, Brothertown, Calumet Co. Wis". Letter was torn from the envelope along the left edge and now has peaked, jagged edge.Collection
