Four page correspondence on two sheets of connected paper. The letter is addressed "Silver Mines, Duluth Minnesota, Jan 12th 1884, To Hon. E.M. Dick, Old Friend". The letter is signed on the fourth page "I must bid you tral-lal-lee, yours in , Health, Wealth, and Stealth, Geo". There is prose throughout the letter including a short poem on the third page which is then circled in pink ink and written next to the prose in the same pink ink "Do not get struck over this prose, for you may get struck over the rose, ta ta." The same pink ink was used on the fourth page to circle both the address and "Please write soon" at the bottom.Collection
