Multi-page correspondence to cousin Louise from Millard, written Jan. 16, 1928. The letter starts out talking about taxes. Louise sent him $3 for taxes and he checked on her house. He talks about how his taxes went up from $11.70 last year (1927) to $12.85 in 1928.
He is asking her for her bill or receipt for 1927's taxes so he can pay them. On a smaller piece of paper he wrote out a bill for shingles in 1926 and included it. They cost $1.25 a bunch and total cast her $12.50.
There is a third piece of paper that is another letter because he forgot to ask her if she was willing to sell a black coat. He would take the price off the shingles.Collection
