Scope and Content

Typed correspondence dated Sept. 20, 1937. It appears to have been copied twice and sent to two people along with the original: Otto Heller of Chilton and the State Historical Society in Madison. It discusses the Indian mounds off highway 55. There are 10 mounds there "most of them lizard mounds, others are lateral and round mounds". The letter is requesting this land be placed in the possession of the public and a marker be erected to draw peoples attention to its significance. It is signed L.F. Nelson-Mayor.
