Description

Tintype of a group of four individuals: two women and two men. A male and female are sitting in the front. The woman is wearing a patterned dress with a hat with ribbons or a fan with ribbons in her lap. The male sitting has a three piece suit on but the vest looks to be unbuttoned down the middle. The male and female standing in the back are wearing a suit (male) with his right hand in his pocket (left in image) and the woman is wearing a wrapped shawl with a hat. The photograph and three tintypes were in a single envelope with "Ms Weimer, -ffar---, -has and kids walking" in pencil; "Harsel" in brown pencil; and #60 in black ink in the bottom corner. The envelope is with BC2010.022.198A.

Notes

The tintype is in poor condition with rust and part of the image torn away or cracked away about an inch from the bottom. There is a dark stain in the top left corner next to the male standing as well as along the right edge over the male sitting. There is a spot in the middle just above the people. Each corner has been snapped off and the bottom edge is warped.
