Half sheet of paper with correspondence written on both sides. The letter starts "Camp near Marfreesboro, Tenn, May the 10 of 1863. Far distant mess mate" and is signed "Respects to all inquiry. To direct to me now Mr. Geo A Durvchie, Co F21 W.V.P. Seckond, Briggade 1 Division, Campt near Marfreesboro, Tenn". The soldier must have been hurt and can no longer wear a shoe so it no longer serving. The receiver is an Edgar. Most of it talks about all the people in hospital, some going to live but with missing appendages and some not expected to live.
