Four page correspondence written in a blue ink on two pages of lined paper, connected to each other. The letter is addressed "Marinette Wisconsin, June 16th, Hon. E.M. Dick". The date is not in the address but the writer speaks of finally joining a Temple in Marinette on May 23rd, 79. It appears he could not join prior to this date because he was Native American, but they are now "barring the heathen Chinese, instead of us Native Americans". The letter is signed on the third page "Fraternally yours, A.G.D. esq". On the last page is a "P.S. how many members has your temple?" along with more questions about the recipients temple and finally ends "Respect to all, Same, In haste".Collection
