My Dear Sir/ If Mr. Bruce has not already notified you, will you please repair immediately to Mr. Bennett at the Stockbridge Settlements & there meet us in order to make the payment of the Treaty Stipulations to that tribe. Mr. Bruce is now there having come from Detroit via Sheboygan & I write this at 7 o'clock A.M. on my way to meet him. I send this by Mr. Gardners son. --Pray leave at once so as not to cause any delay-- Very truly yours, Edward Onthwaite".Collection
