Four page correspondence on a single sheet of lined paper that is folded in half. The letter starts "Colby, Sept 25th, 1901, Dear Sister" and is signed on the fourth page (opposite page one) "regards to all, PJ Johnson". The letter talks about their illnesses which include boils and how people have turned them away for it. The writer talks about rushing out of a store or something because someone was asking a male if he was with so-and-so and they didn't want to answer in fear he would be quarantined and miss out on a months work. It talks about wanting to get children little gifts and how Oscar is too little to go to school yet because it is too far.
BC2010.022.623B is the envelope addressed to "Mrs. Agnes L. Fowler, Brothertown, Calumet Co., Wis". On the back written in pencil is "From Jane, Sept 25, 1901".Collection
