Writing is in black ink and reads "$150.00, One year after date for value received I promise to pay to the Order of Dorcas Dick One Hundred and Fifty Dollars with interest at eight percent per anum until paid. This note is secured by mortgage on real estate bearing even date herewith. Dated at Brothertown Oct 26th 1881." Written on the back in the top right corner in a different hand is "Received on the within note twelve dollars. May 1st 1883, read on the within note twelve dollars. Oct 26, 1883.
