Tintype of a middled aged man and a young boy. The man is holding a large book that is open in his lap. The boy is sitting with his hands clasped in his lap. The tintype is in a wood book and is framed by a gold decorative metal. The book cover is of a floral design with a dotted square border. The book came in an envelope with "Lorenzo D Fowler and Jacob Fowler, son #42" written on it. This is most likely O.E. Heller's organization system.
The back cover of the book is completely missing and the front cover is worn and dirty. There is a spot at the top of the floral design that is especially worn. The binding is still hanging on but is cracked down the middle.Photograph Details
