Stockbridge Indians in Stockbridge". The headstone has cracked horizontally through his age, but has been reattached.
Written in black ink on the back of the photo is "The first grave stone in the cemetery. Murdered by the Kinkapot brothers
at Stockbridge. Union Cemetery, Brothertown, Wis. 'He was murdered by the Stockbridge Indians in Stockbridge'." And in
